Editorial Tasks Provided

Generally, two levels of service are provided and include: a) Copy & Structural Editing, and b) Manuscript Consultation. The Copy and Structural Editing level of service provides an edited text free of common errors in grammar, spelling or imperfectly presented ideas that distract from the scientific presentation. The Manuscript Consultation level of service provides an unbiased evaluation of the appropriateness of the scientific presentation with emphasis on those changes that should enhance suitability of the manuscript for publication in a scientific journal.

Copy and Structural Editing:

• Correct text for spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation
• Change word order to ensure consistency in tense and format
• Perform organizational editing at the sentence level
• Moderate rewriting and reorganization of text to improve flow and clarity

Manuscript Consultation:

• Includes Copy & Structural Editing
• Organization editing at the document level
• Evaluate continuity of purpose, approach and presentation of results
• Suggest changes and modification to text, figures and tables as needed
• Identify areas not clearly communicated

Please note that no attempt will be made to alter the research content or authors' intentions during the editing of a manuscript. Furthermore, the confidentiality of the information contained therein will be maintained at all times and under no circumstance will the content be shared with individuals other than those designated to perform the Copy Editing service.
